ROCKING AND ROLLING

ROCKING AND ROLLING

As the Captain warned us, we awoke to rough seas but managed to wobble our way to breakfast. Sandra and Bill arrived shortly after we did and one again our table was the centre of laughing and giggling and once more, another guest approached us saying we were having way too much fun! We added yet another gesture to the adjective "Fabulous" which set Norma off in a giggling fit. This gesture is used if you only have one hand free. You really had to be there to appreciate the hilarity of it all. As Norma said, "We just picked up from where we left off last night".

We made arrangements to meet for lunch and headed back to our rooms to enjoy the last sea day of this cruise. I had taken an anti-nausea pill as a precaution and it tends to make me very drowsy. We decided to watch the movie LaLaLand and both of us slept through parts of it when we weren't fast forwarding. We were not impressed.

Then it was off to lunch in the French Specialty Restaurant, Chartreuse. The decor is spectacular. So much care has gone into the design of the rooms of this ship. More giggles and laughter then back to our rooms for yet another nap. We got up and dressed to take a half-hour walk on the open 12th deck where a jogging path has been laid out. The fresh air was most welcome - at least it wasn't raining. The seas had calmed considerably by this time.

We dressed for dinner and headed to the Observation Lounge to meet for pre-dinner drinks and then to dinner at Compass Rose after an aborted attempt to get into the Italian Restaurant, Sette Mare. It does not take reservations and there was a twenty minute wait.

Once again we managed to close the dining room.
